How Much Does a Beach Wedding Cost in 2019?

Weddings can cost a bundle, but that’s certainly not the case with Affordable Beach Wedding – Central Florida’s premier beach wedding planning company. We offer wedding packages to satisfy every budget…from the simplest beach wedding for just a few hundred dollars to a more extravagant beach affair.

Your wedding can be whatever you wish it to be. It can be as simple as you and your fiancé with a wedding officiant and the perfect wedding vows we help you create for just $200. The officiant you choose can be male or female and we also now offer a Spanish speaking wedding officiant.

Or it can be as elaborate as the Affordable Beach Wedding Cinderella’s Dream Package which is befitting of a princess. You will recite your vows under an elegantly decorated canopy. Guest chairs will be beautifully decorated with sashes made of wedding material in the color of your choosing. There will be a photographer on hand to catch every heartfelt moment, your choice of music, a welcome table with a slideshow, your choice of lantern, flower or candle isle markers, a gorgeous bouquet and boutonniere and a heart in the sand ceremony for $2,900.

Then there is everything in between, from our Simple Elegance Beach Wedding Package, which includes a wedding officiant, a beautiful sand ceremony and wedding photos, for just $450….to the Fairytale Beach Wedding Package with a three winged arch, chairs with isle markers, music, photos, a sand ceremony for $1,500.

Affordable Beach Wedding offers nine sample beach wedding packages from which to choose or we can individually tailor an event that is just perfect for you.

The Difference between Day and Night Weddings

The difference between nighttime and daytime weddings is night and day…

Ever been to the beach at night? There is a certain romance that only the night can offer. When the moon is full, it shines brightly against the ocean. Imagine a wedding with the moonlit sea as your backdrop. You can barely see the waves coming in, but you can hear their captivating song. You walk along a pathway of softly glowing glass lanterns until you reach the archway under which you will exchange your vows. It’s elegantly draped with tiny white lights. It is cooler on the beach at night than it is during the day, so there is a nice breeze and your guests are very comfortable.

If you truly love the beach, you understand its allure during the day as well. A wedding on the beach during the daylight hours is just as gorgeous as a wedding on the beach at night, but so much different…certainly a dramatic event in its own right. On a beautiful day, the sun will shine brightly down upon you and your spouse to be. It also creates an almost magical glistening effect atop the crystal clear waters of the beach of your choice. The aisle is a velvety carpet that leads you through the sandy beach to aromatic and colorful flowers that cascade from your wedding canopy. Guest chairs are adorned with fine ribbons that match your bridesmaid bouquets.

These are just examples of some ideas, but your beach wedding – whether held during the day or at night – will reflect your style in its own breathtaking splendor. Should You Get Married Barefoot or in High Heels during a Beach Wedding?

Never judge a person until you’ve walked a mile in her shoes, especially if you are at a beach wedding.  A sandy beach can create some challenges if you are in heels. Tiny hills begin to seem mountainous in your journey across the sand, gullies in the sand become cavernous ditches which could eat you alive and heels sink deeply in the sand with every step.

So, if you are considering wearing heels at your beach wedding, watch your step. If you can’t live without showcasing that dazzling dress with a gorgeous pair of glistening Jimmy Choo Stilettos, you may want to consider an escorted walk to your aisle. A sturdy arm to hold as you walk across the sand could solve any sand issues. Just make sure that your aisle is solid. If you reach it and let go of that arm, you could be in big trouble if you find your aisle is only a carpet covering the sand.

Another option is to be comfortable while you are enjoying the beach portion of your ceremony. Barefoot ceremonies can be beautiful and carefree. If you prefer shoes, sandals come in all shapes and sizes, and can provide an elegant, stunning and safe option for navigating the beach.

Finally, if your reception is held at another location – a beachside restaurant, for instance – you can go barefoot or sandal-clad for the beach portion of the program and sport those Jimmy Choos at your reception…where, I might add…they may very possibly remain in better shape (as could you).

Best Wedding Songs for 2018

Your wedding ceremony and reception are a reflection of you, from the color and style of the bridesmaid dresses, to the flowers and setting. But don’t forget that one of the most memorable moments at your wedding will be when they play your song. As the saying goes, “Say it with music.”

Here are some wedding song options that have been making people cry with joy for many years, up to and through 2018…

As we all know – and have heard many times before – you can go old school with “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston, “Endless Love” by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross or “Because I Loved You” by Celene Dion.

Maybe you are a little more “today” and prefer more of a “When I run out of road you’ll bring me home” or “And I live so I can die with you” type of song. Either way, there are some great tunes out there that could make the perfect wedding song for you. So, of course we have “Die with You” by Beyonce, “Sweet Creature” by Harry Styles; and then we have wedding songs like “What Lovers Do” by Maroon 5, “Perfect Duet” by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce, “God Gave Me You” by Blake Shelton, “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith, “Charmed to the Rhythm” by Katy Perry, “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Womack or “You and Me” by Lifehouse; “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars, “Wolves” by Selena Gomez, “I’m the One” by DK Kahlid and Justin Beiber, “Rewrite the Stars” by Zac Efron and Zendaya, “There are Many Ways to Say I Love You” by Sylvan Esso. The list is enormous and keeps growing!

Oh and don’t forget to keep the party going with party wedding songs that liven things up, with songs like “Ain’t to Proud to Beg” by the Temptations, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen or “I Got a Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas.

Great Souvenir Ideas for a Beach Wedding

A wedding souvenir is a precious memento to mark what could possibly be the most momentous occasion of your life! You want your wedding souvenirs to reflect your personality and wedding style. And beach weddings open up a variety of wonderful and whimsical wedding souvenir options from which to choose…

If your wedding is lavish and you have something elegant in mind for your wedding souvenirs, it could be a silver scallop that opens to chocolate truffles, a beautiful vase etched with a sea scene along with your names and the date of your very special day, one-of-a-kind napkin rings made from exquisite stones from the sea, nautical wine stoppers, or personalized pilsner or stemless wine glasses with etched starfish or sand dollars.

For something a little simpler, yet still reflective of your beachside nuptials, you could choose beachy luggage tags, coaster sets, pillows or beach bags. There are bottle openers or keychains in the shape of a palm tree, flip flop, or anchor. Think sea themed photo frames or candles.

If your wedding style is more whimsical, go crazy and have fun with your souvenir choice. Give your guests oversized sunglasses or flip flops that they can wear during the beach portion of your wedding. You could provide personalized sunscreen or beach fans to keep your guests cool during the ceremony.

You can choose just about anything for your wedding souvenirs, so let your imagination run wild! For more souvenir ideas or any other help with wedding planning, call Central Florida’s trusted source for beach wedding planning – Affordable Beach Wedding.

How Far Ahead Should You Reserve Your Wedding

Timing is everything…especially when you are planning the perfect wedding. There is a beautiful event venue to reserve, caterers to schedule, guest lists to make, invitations to order and send, a gorgeous dress to choose, fittings, vow decisions, an entire wedding registry to decide, cakes to taste, a honeymoon to plan and so much more! If it’s a destination wedding, keep in mind that you also have hotel room blocks to reserve.

Most people plan their weddings one to two years in advance and book their church or temple and wedding reception venue as soon as they become engaged. Don’t worry if you don’t have that much time though. You can plan beautiful beach wedding in less time. However, remember that your RSVP date should be three weeks prior to the event. Your caterer will need guest counts well in advance of your event. So, at a minimum, you need to send out your invites six weeks in advance and set an RSVP date for two weeks before. Add time to choose and print those invites too. Caterers, flowers, the cake, bands, etc. should be booked months in advance if possible. Timing is also largely predicated on your wedding date. If the timing of your wedding is in high demand, give yourself some extra wiggle room for sure!

How to Keep the Peace with Relatives at a Wedding Reception

Ever see those crazy wedding reception videos on YouTube…like the one where someone’s drunk Uncle Bobby Joe starts a fight with Uncle Billy Bob, wild punches ensue and one of them goes flying into the cake? Yeah, not so great, and guessing that’s not the entertainment you are looking for at your wedding.

Old wounds are sometimes bold wounds, and most families are bound to have them. However, I am sure you will agree that the fairytale wedding of your dreams is no place for a knock down drag out. So, there are a few things you can do to avoid massive mayhem on your special day.

First, you will want to invite wisely. If you are close to Aunt Edna and Aunt Edna hates Aunt Agnes because she stole her boyfriend 55 years ago, you may want to invite just one of them or possibly neither of them. If neither of those options is a possibility, hopefully you can avoid conflict with a strategic seating plan.

Make certain that Aunt Edna and Aunt Agnes are not seated at the same table; and, better yet, seat them at tables that are located on opposite ends of the room. The farther these potential sparring partners are placed apart (hopefully we are talking only verbal sparring here, but even so…), the better things will be for you.

It’s also a known fact that alcohol can be at the root of poor choices. As we don’t want any contentious situations to occur during your wedding reception, it is sometimes better not to serve alcohol around people who could exhibit questionable behavior. Keep in mind that sparkling cider is always nice for a toast!

Is White Still a Popular Wedding Dress Color for 2018

We all know the old Miss Manners’ rule that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day, but are we still sticking to time-honored, somewhat antiquated traditions? Heck, most young brides probably don’t even know who Miss Manners is! For that matter, is white still the most popular wedding dress color for 2018?

Today, we tend to deviate from old-fashioned fashion rules and traditions, as evidenced by the stiletto fingernail, blue hair and man purse trends…just to name a few. And as with nail, hair and day to day fashion trends, wedding dress trends are on the move.

Roman brides wore white robes as a tribute to the god of marriage and fertility, and later, the traditional long white gown symbolized virginity; but as our times changed, more and more brides chose eggshell, cream, and ivory. Now there are brides who love the idea of a wedding dress saturated in color. In fact, Vera Wang’s wedding collections show everything from black and white to fiery red, to an entire assortment of rainbow colors.

So, it seems that the color of the wedding dress, as with every element of a wedding can vary from one bride’s idea of her dream day to the next bride’s preferences. And what she picks can become the centerpiece of the wedding, as well as dictate the entire color palette of the wedding. So go bold or go home, or stick to tradition. The choice is yours…and isn’t it nice to have so many choices?

What to Do When It Rains at Your Wedding Location

“Into each life, a little rain must fall.” Don’t let a little rain ruin one of the most special days of your life. Here’s what to do in case of rain at your wedding location…

The first thing you want to do is to be prepared. If you plan a beautiful beach wedding outside, cover your wedding arch, guest seating and reception area with tented canopies. Even if it doesn’t rain, the canopies can help to keep the sun out of your eyes and the wind off your back (and that of your guests as well!).

Another good idea is to make sure you have a backup plan. If you plan to have your wedding ceremony on the beach and then hold the reception at a beautiful ocean side restaurant venue, see if your restaurant of choice has available space in case you need to move your ceremony indoors due to weather. If not, you can always check around to see if there are other indoor facilities that can accommodate you and your guests during your ceremony should inclement weather require it.

The best way to ensure that your wedding comes off without a hitch – rain or shine, is to enlist the forces of Affordable Beach Wedding – Central Florida’s premier beach wedding company. Affordable Beach Wedding has an extensive network of contacts in all the right places. Don’t take chances when you don’t have to. You are about to embark on the journey of a lifetime.
